How do you all feel about "fat" people having babies?

How do you all feel about "fat" people having babies?I hate the term fat or obese but I was out drinking with friends and the subject came up. I was very surprised by some responses. How do you personally feel about women who are overweight and otherwise healthy having babies? Do you think they should loose weight first or go for it?

Is none of my business if anyone has a baby except for those dear and near to me..........fat or skinny .......will they love them and take care of them ? that's your answer!

I happy for any woman that become pregnant. I was unable to have kids, so I can't knock any woman that does regardless what condition she is in. i just don't understand women that do drugs and drink while pregnant. That's just wrong.

sharrona
I think it is 'their' business, not mine.

Their weight, their baby, their life.

the first paragraph should come right after the introduction and thesis, so all the main ideas are still in the readers head so something like this could work

The health risks that have been associated with excessive television viewing are... It is thought that the first health risk... etc

for the second paragraph say

Not only does television harm the health of viewers, it also distracts young students from their school work. ...

and at the beginning of the third body paragraph say:

In addition to the negative effects of tv that have already been mentioned, tv also is associated with irregular sleeping habits....

What about cognitive development - trained to have a brain that cant not conform? That is one reason why non-conformity sells - people have so weak of an idea of who they are that they use other people as the measure of the value of their inner self. Many foriegners raised without television think that a majority of Americans are 100% predictable in their thoughts, ability to come up with ideas, responses to common questions - all from the television. This could be dulling the personality of the nation - and creating congitive holes in the minds of its children - the untapped reservoir of intellectual talent with which the US hopes to once again regain global dominance after our current crash takes us from being the top of the world, and puts us as being the driving force behind a global depression. Are we really still a superpower?

What about opportunity cost? In economics the opportunity cost is the money you couldnt spend on the next best alternative. Time is money? Where could they spend the time - where it would make a difference?

The TV exists, not because it is federally subsidized (like solar power which doesn't really exist, but is very famous) but because it brings provable economic results. TV exists to sell products, and is successful. Why isn't anyone questioning the health of turning our kids into consumerist zombies?

What about saving the planet. If everyone turned off their TV for a day - how much electrical power would they conserve? People whose business depends on consumerist zombies will tell them to buy solar, or that recycling aluminum is more important than properly disposing of disposable diapers, but they will never suggest that you turn off the tube.

By measuring power use at the broadcast antenna, and signal strength at its boundaries, the TV companies can tell approximately how many people are watching their shows. With digital television signals, they will not only be able to tell exactly (mathematical precision) how many people are watching, and where they live, but they will know the exact moment you change the channel. They can spatially locate the source much more easily. With reasonable signal metrology, they can know which channel you changed from and to. Knowing where people live, and what they are watching, and having numeric values for the changes in sales their advertisements cause - they can geographically target advertisements, and use your switch timing and preferences to target them to what you watch, and which channels you switch to. Why are there no privacy issues raised? If someone did this for your internet you would scream, why is it okay for them to do it to your television?

Why hasn't anyone had a problem letting people stare down a particle accelerator? Is staring at an electron beam really healthy?

cause everyone on the west coast is a health nut

Possibly because it still has a large number of small farmers and ranchers, and a fairly large senior population from the times when walking was considered a NORMAL action, not an exercise.

A lot to do, the cold weather helps you burn calories faster and the state has health programs in their schools.

I don't know what the other people are talking about because in my experience, it's the large number of parks and such. And the fact that since it's known for being outdoorsy, fit people just tend to be drawn towards it.
