Argument against Marijuana is bogus?A popular argument against legalizing MJ is that although people are doing what they want with their own bodies (which according to just about every pro choice person I have spoken to is a person's inalienable right), the argument goes that smoking pot hurts everyone because it harms the body and then we all end up paying your hospital bill in higher taxes. However, according to this snippet I obtained from an article on MSN (very sexist web site but still interesting sometimes), being obese has a dramatic cost on us.

I have worked in a psych ward and never saw anyone in because they had hurt themselves with pot. Other drugs yes.

I am all for the legalization of marijuana, but I find that your comparison is apples and oranges, besides how do you know it is the fat people bad mouthing pot? I think you are immature and if you want to argue marijuana you shouldn't attack overweight people. Just a thought.


EDIT: Ummm Anthony why are you singling out young black males in psych wards? I really doubt anyone is in a psych ward because of marijuana, and Bob Marley was not addicted to cocaine and Peter Tosh was already a little crazy. Besides the Rasafarian religion doesn't believe in just sitting around and smoking reefer all day they use it for sacramental purposes. I want to know where you are getting your information.

there are many young black males in psychiatric hospitals because of the negative effects of smoking canabis, and you know the truth, there are more out than in.bob marlet went from smoking gungha to being addicted to cacaine, and peter tosh went mad, and was assassinated.
pot smoking induces addiction, and that is hell for the victims of the addict.
you have no idea how damaging it is to smoke canabis.
it was popular in the west indies, and was advertised by many jamaicans as a wondwer tonic.
canabis has many positives but it needs to be used wisely. to be drunk as tea.
