What started as a vision for change has now transformed into a statewide grassroots effort to fight Illinois' rising obesity epidemic. Over 150 leaders from 90 organizations representing various sectors — health care, public health, agriculture, education, transportation, planning, government, business, food distribution — recently convened at the landmark Illinois Obesity Action Summit to consider ideas to form a State Obesity Action Roadmap and weigh in on priorities for policy action over the next three years.
