Is it possible that diseases we often blame obesity for, such as heart disease and cancer, are not CAUSED by obesity, but simply correlated with it? Meaning that the real causes of these diseases are a sedentary lifestyle or a high fat/sugar diet, not just having too much fat on the body?
When you think about it, dieting is a real scam. Less than 95% of people who diet are able to keep the weight off long term. In addition to high failure rates, many diets can lead to severe health problems, and occasionally death. What kind of medical expert would administer any sort of treatment plan with such high risks and low results?

Well, Dacey, you obviously didn't read my question. (see the part where I say that obesity DOESN'T cause health problems)
~Dacey~
You answered your own question. It is a serious health risk because it causes other things like heart disease.
