None. This is just another way for the government to control our lives and tax us to death. A tax on soda is not gonna stop people from buying soda.

You are dealing with a liberal idea, they don't use any of the above. California is bankrupt, so like a good little liberal, the only idea is to tax people more, instead of fixing government.

Don't you just love it? The government is bloated and thinks it just needs more money. People are getting fatter, so the government thinks they should have less money after buying these things, which will go to fatten the government some more.

Hypocrite clowns think they are doing us a favor, they are stealing money and expecting a thank you. This is brain failure level of stupidity.

Fat kids drink more of that crap. Raise the tax and their fat parents won't buy so much.
Result, kids are not so fat.

Worked with cigarettes too, tax raised, smoking went down, more people didn't die of lung cancer and emphysema.

It's NOT a way of raising income for the gubbmint, the idea is to discourage fat, lazy slobs from producing fat, lazy children which grow up to be a burden on the health care of the nation - especially since most of these people have no health insurance...

Djw is wrong, higher taxes will keep us from buying things, and we will be reduced to the basics. Of course Coke & Pepsi will have to let people go because the govt doesn't want their products sold in the US because they decide what we can eat or drink.
Will Obama be reduced to beans & rice or will he keep on smoking, drinking soda & eating hamburgers?? He & Joe will be at the hamburger joint more than ever because there won't be any lines .
It didn't work in Russia, and didn't work in Cuba, so why should it work here..
