To red hen; the word epidemic does NOT mean contagious. You might want to look it up before making asinine comments

No, it's government.

It's one of the main controlable causes, leading to diabetes, stroke, heart attact & hip/knee replacements.

That's what happens when Agri Biz is given vast subsidies.

Oh my lord. "The obesity epidemic?" That sort of makes it sound contagious - which it isn't.

Actually, moron, I didn't say it MEANS contagious. I said that makes it SOUND like it's something contagious. A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

Fast food poor, nutrition and lax government regulation leads to poor health and increasing insurance premiums that everyone pays.

In some measure, yes. More pernicious is that poverty is driving obesity, which drives all sorts of other health issues, like diabetes. More pernicious still, is the fact the the United States is doomed to a poverty spiral, as our jobs are off-shored or out-sourced, wages are depressed (at least, for working folks), the middle-class dies (along with it's purchasing power), public and social services are cut (so that tax cuts can be provided to the very rich), Social Security is destroyed, etc., etc., etc..
Working and Poor Americans are getting poorer and fatter by the day. This is just the beginning...mark my words...
