It's their fault for gaining so much weight. I do not feel bad for them at all.

probably, yes. i am no where near obese, but if i gain 5 pounds or whatever after xmas,my entire family and friends dont hesitate to laugh at my tight jeans and make me feel like 2cents.i can only imagine the pressure and comments if u r too big.i have had anorexia on and off my whole life because i hate the negative comments about weight in our society.i fear being rejected,so i foolishly try to conform to the hollywood image, its such a battle .attitudes like the person above are what keep me starving myself-she's ignorant and mean.if u do get big,the world is full of people like her.i dont want to be the target of that.EVER.

I think I am being oppressed when I sit beside some obese person on an airline who takes up half of my seat. I think I am oppressed when I have to wait to do squats for some fat person to finish wasting time in the squat rack doing endless sets of curls. I think I am oppressed when some fat, wheezing, out of shape person sits in the handicapped seats at movie theater because they can't walk up the steps to a normal seat. I think I am oppressed when society is expected to make accomodations for people who choose to put too much food down thier cheese pipe. I think I am oppressed when obesity becomes a handicap or a disability rather than a life-style choice.
