I haven't been obese ever. And i struggle so much because i can't even do exercise, i figure out ways to get a good sweat even without jumping.
Slow boxing in place or something like that .. Only 30 minute a day. That's enough.
Now, how come people who are obese, AND have never had knee sprains or anything.. why don't they try to do anyting?
Oh and in case you say they have a mental problem and depression.. I DO TOO. I'm depressed and have even thought of suicide but the exercise actually gets those thoughts out.
I'm 29 male( torn knees, torn chest( can't do pushups), torn neck( but better although it cracks), torn shoulders( thus can't do pushups but i do dumbells)
Today i was seeing a show about this American Carreer College and people going into the medical field. Most students were obese and i felt kind of ashamed. And then they're going into the Medical field, shouldn't they at least set an example of healthy living?

Food selection and portion size mostly. the Fast Food and Take out industry is really screwing up our population.

i COMPLETELY agree with you...hypocrisy is my biggest NO NO, i think that any person going into the health field that will be teaching people how to stay healthy and fit should also be healthy and fit (kinda of like how you see all these fat phy ed teachers running around) I also think that you need to lead by example and if you tell someone to do something you yourself cant do you're just a big fat phoney. i absolutly hate it when somebody tries to give me a lecture on health and they themselves arn't healthy i think anyone going into these field should have a physical fitness test...for example people in the army and in the police force...who are they kidding! they have some of the most obese people

Obesity is not the problem, it's the symptom of the problem. Since most doctors and people manage symptoms and not the problem, failing health ensues. When a person has blood sugar problems and is insulin resistant, controlling portions is NOT an option and this is the problem in most obese people and portion control is the only option that has been given. The reason, I believe that obesity has just become an epidemic is the proliferation of processed foods, long term high carbage foods and in the low fat era removing fat and replacing it with sugar in EVERYTHING. I can not imagine all these educated people pushing sugar as a healthy food. Fat will not make a person fat.
Low blood sugar (which results from high blood sugar & equally high insulin) triggers hunger (even after eating sufficiently). Long term high insulin creates an insulin sensitivity, that can trigger insulin with just the thought of food (which is the theory behind why sugar free sodas cause weight gain). Long term carb intake damages the receptors on muscle tissue and causes Insulin resistance. Insulin then sweeps all the nutrition directly to fat cells causing muscles to scream for the nutrition they are not getting. You have these 2 biological demands for nutrition, controlling portions is just not an option. You can be full as a tick not able to eat another bite and the body is driving you to eat and not healthy foods the easily converted to glucose foods (sugar & starches) It becomes a vicious circle and you get fatter & fatter and don't understand why. Then there is the depression when well meaning people tell you that if you'd just control it you wouldn't be so fat & that drives some people to eat even more.
The ONLY way to break the cycle is with a low carb way of eating and not just any low carb way of eating, the Atkins way. Some people become so insulin sensitive, so insulin resistant, they can not handle moderate carb levels not even low carb levels. They must go to nearly no carb levels for a long period to allow their pancreas, adrenals, muscle receptors to heal (which could take years if ever)
With Atkins way of eating, there is NO portion control, NO calorie restrictions. This is how 500#+ people can lose weight even on 10,000 calories a day and not just a little weight, massive weight loss quickly. Most times too quickly for their skin and they end up with loose skin, I feel the skin will recoup it will just take several years, or you could loose slower.
You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you'll need added potassium). Keep the calories high and the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
Your body won't release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow your metabolism to compensate and store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering your calories, it will continue lowering that set point, til you can survive off nothing and store fat on anything. The body will only release it's fat stores if it knows there is plenty of food.
Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) and exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.
The core of the Atkins program is converting your body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). You need to keep your fat levels at >65% of your calories, if you don't your body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis).
It takes minimum of 3 days to convert your body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis) you will probably feel sluggish the first week but most people feel better than ever thereafter.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released. Simple carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days.
High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger and unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise.
