It will depend on what family genes the baby gets, and what the family history is like.
It will also depend on the reasons your sister is overweight (genes, diet, medications, health issues, etc)

Obesity is not genetic, it depends on the babies future lifestyle.

Just because you are obese doesn't mean for sure that your children will be obese. Obesity comes in part from genetics, but it's mostly from a sedentary lifestyle and poor food choices.

Does she get a lot of stress? Does she eat pizza 3 times a day? What do your parents look like? These are questions you ask yourself. =)
Genetics and whatever habits she passes on will be the determining factor.
I understand your concern, but you really shouldnt take it any further. It's never a good idea to tell a woman she's fat. It's completely up to her to lose weight. And I'm sure she already knows it.

There is study which relates obesity's to a gene, but ambient factors have a big influence, by what i mean is how they raise the kid ,especially if the mom is the one cooking it means she will probably teach the kid to eat large amounts, so it all depends on how the baby is raised. Its frequent to see obese parents with obese kids for that reason .
